Videos and reference images

FrameShot processes the video you choose locally in your browser. Our application does not upload your source video, frames, filenames, or capture settings to a server. Your original file is not changed.

Saved history and deletion

Successful generations are saved in this browser using IndexedDB, up to 10 generations and 512 MiB across accounts. Saved images, filenames, timestamps, and capture settings stay on this device. Original videos are never saved. History is not synced or backed up and may be removed if you clear site data or your browser frees storage. When storage is full, current frames remain available to download and older history is kept.

Clear workspace closes the active video and images. It does not delete saved history. Deleting frames updates their saved generation; History also lets you delete whole generations. These actions never remove your original video or files you already downloaded. Guest history is separate from signed-in history, and you can explicitly import it into your account’s local history.

What happens when you visit

Our hosting provider receives the technical information needed to serve the site, such as your IP address, browser information, requested URLs, and request times. This information may appear in hosting security and operational logs. FrameShot does not currently add advertising trackers or a third-party analytics script. When sign-in is enabled, a session token is stored in your browser to keep you signed in. Stripe applies its own security and cookie practices on the hosted checkout page.

Accounts and payments

Supabase handles email sign-in and stores your account identifier and verified email. We store credit entries, payment references, and random project identifiers to deliver purchases and avoid charging twice. Stripe handles payment details; FrameShot does not receive your full card number.

You can delete your account from the account page. Minimal financial records are retained for accounting, refunds, and disputes. A protected, one-way representation of your verified email is retained to prevent repeated free-credit claims after account deletion. We never store your footage or screenshot history in the account database. Contact us for access, correction, or deletion requests.

When you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include. We use that information to respond to your request. Support correspondence is handled through Gmail.

External links and samples

Links to the sample’s original source and license open external websites with their own privacy practices. The demonstration video and fonts are hosted with FrameShot; loading the sample does not require contacting a third-party video player.
